Welcome to the Topic “What is VOIP?”
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a type of digital technology that allows people to make voice calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular phone line.
VoIP converts analog audio signals into digital data packets and transmits them over the Internet. When the packets reach their destination, they are converted back into analog signals so that the person on the other end can hear your voice.
VoIP is often used by businesses as a more efficient way to conduct conference calls and other types of group communication.
However, VoIP can also be used by individuals to make free or low-cost phone calls to other people who are using VoIP.
